Using gas chromatography, the model airTOXIC BTX PID measures the amount of Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes in the air from sub-ppb levels up to 1,000 ppb.

Miniaturization, sensitivity, mobility and flexibility are the main features of the airTOXIC BTX PID. Everything from the sample port up to the data storageairTOXIC BTX PID is integrated in a 19″-rack 5U. The airTOXIC BTX PID uses a port valve with a single absorbent trap and a metallic 0.28mm ID column. It has a programmed gradient temperature of the oven and pressure/flow control of the carrier gas.

The detection is made with a Photo Ionisation Detector with a self-cleaning 10.6 eV PID lamp for high stability. Its minimum detection limit is as low as 10 ppt for Benzene or 1.3-Butadiene (A76022) in ambient air.

The Vistachrom® software enables the user to view and store data on an internal computer. It provides comfortable user friendly utilities to recalculate, calibrate and export data and to configure the measurement. The software allows the calculation of retention time, area, mass or concentration profiles, in any measuring unit.

Ethernet connectivity provides efficient remote access, allowing the user to download measurement information directly from the instrument without having to be on-site.
